Castles and palaces

Numerous castles, palaces and ruins in the region are waiting to be discovered. Embark on a fascinating journey through time Moselle, Hunsrück and Eifel regions with fascinating ruins but also completely preserved castles from the Middle Ages.

Marienburg

The location of the Marienburg is actually unique, because it is located high up on the mountain ridge, a peninsula surrounded by the Moselle, on a narrow ridge where the Moselle loop of the Zeller Hamm narrows to less than 300 m. From here the visitor has a fantastic view of the enchanting wine towns of the Zeller Land (Alf, Neef, Bullay, Zell-Merl, Briedel, Pünderich, St. Aldegund) and the impressive, almost 14 km long loop of the Moselle.
