Mont Royal (built 1687 to 1698) is a fortress ruin north of the town of Traben-Trarbach. Visitors can explore the fortress ruins on their own. During the season, guided tours through the fortress ruins are routinely conducted. Special, individual tours are available for Groups.

Wolf Abbey
At first the abbey was dedicated to the Mother Mary. Because of the consequences of the reformation in the county of Sponheim and the new church building in the village of Wolf the abbey and the church on the hill fell into despair from 1685 on. As you can see until today, many houses in the village were built of slate stones of the old abbey.
